I hope you’ve been well, and had a week full of sweet shalom. Shalom. Think about that word for a moment. Now slowly say it out loud. We all know this wonderful Hebrew word literally translates to peace, however, it’s full interpretation means so much more! Shalom means nothing missing, nothing broken, total wellness, wholeness, and yes, peace…. a Godly, heavenly peace that encompasses your entire being and transcends any circumstance you may be experiencing. Sounds wonderful, doesn’t it?? It is! It is absolutely wonderful and this is what our Father wants for each and every one of His children, and it’s what I want for you too.
Enjoy the photos…. they’re just a few favorites from my travels!
For those of us who live in and near Florida, hurricane season has just begun (at time of writing), and many are currently feeling the effects of the season’s first storm, tropical storm Andrea. Unfortunately, for many of you reading this, the storms of life have been raging long before Andrea! It is for this reason that we have been graced with the gift of “shalom”. And as we enter the time of shabbat (Friday at sundown to Saturday at sundown), we enter the specific moadim (appointed time) that God has given us to experience not only peace, but rest as well.
Our Father loves us so much that He has given us a specific time for rest and peace! What a blessing!! Receive that gift, in its fullness of meaning, and it will make an immediate and incredible difference in your life.
I’ll even share something I do personally to help get you started! It’s so super-simple and so effective — try it now and let me know how it works for YOU!!
Close your eyes, and breathe in deeply (this is symbolic of all the “stuff” we have to take in and deal with everyday!) Then exhale slowly (releasing everything that’s trying to stress you out) as you whisper aloud s-h-a-l-o-m. Repeat at least 4 times, or more if needed!!
Get in the habit of doing this every time you feel the spirit of “overwhelm” trying to sneak in, and your journey through life is guaranteed to be overflowing with pure, sweet shalom!
